Most Underrated Monday Night Raw?

WWE Monday Night Raw, February 15th, 2007, from Portland, Oregon, is in my opinion, one of the most overlooked but historical WWE shows of all time.

Vince McMahon opened the show with a Promo against President Donald Trump, of course, Trump came out to the ring to respond. This eventually led to a Hair vs Hair match at Wrestlemania, with ECW Champion Bobby Lashley fighting for President Trump and Intercontinental Champion (by Wrestlemania) the late Umaga in Vince’s corner With Good Ol Stone Cold Steve Austin as Special Guest Referee. *spoiler* Vince lost his hair.

Trio of Matches

Match: John Morrison and Melina defeat Super Crazy and Mickie James in a Mix Tag.

Match: Great Khali Defeats Eugene.

Match: Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy defeats Chris Masters.

In the next segment, Jerry “The King” Lawler introduced Rowdy Roddy Piper, he updated the crowd that he was now cancer-free thanks to the great Doctors at St Vincent’s Hospital in Beaverton Oregon. Piper then announced Dusty Rhodes’s Hall Of Fame induction. Dusty comes out does what he did best and cuts a great promo thanking the fans for always being with him through his career. Umaga then comes to the ring to take out Dusty and Piper, ending with Dusty receiving The Samoan Spike from Umaga. All three are no longer with us and their loss is still felt throughout the entire Pro Wrestling Community, Rest In Peace.

Ric Flair vs Carlito Colon

The Next match was Ric Flair vs Carlito Colon. Now this is a very special and significant match in wrestling history. Ric has probably wrestled the entire Colon family, going all the way back to Carlito’s grandfather and great-uncles in Puerto Rico, America, and worldwide. Flair defeated Carlito.

The Main Event was a team of Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, John Cena, Batista vs RATED RKO(Edge and Randy Orton), MVP, and Mr Kennedy. A PPV caliber match to say the least. Any two of them are a massive main event, so to have all eight in the ring at the same time was phenomenal. Team Michaels/Cena/Taker/Batista won.

I was lucky enough to be in the crowd with my fiancé at the time/wife now. Both of us grew up fans and it was the first opportunity either of us got to attend a live WWE Event. To get to see almost every wrestler we grew up watching, on the same card, for your first show was pretty amazing. Though I have to say they were coming out of one of the greatest Eras Of All Time in Professional Wrestling/Sports Entertainment. Just before the PG Era really took hold. We ended up finding out shortly after that she was pregnant with our son so technically it was his first show as well and coincidentally he is now a massive Shawn Michaels Undertaker and John Cena fan.

If you have Peacock I highly recommend going back and watching.
