NFL WEEK 8: RECAP

THURSDAY NIGHT GAME

Philadelphia Eagles(-13) @ Houston Texans The Eagles came out of their bye week looking like an NFC favorite to reach the Super Bowl. The Texans were recently steamrolled by the Titans running game, but are looking for their 2nd “W” of the season…don’t expect it this week! The Eagles will have no trouble with Houston and take it 34-25.

EARLY SUNDAY GAMES

Buffalo Bills(-13) @ NY Jets Another -13 point favorite, although the Jets may have a chance at beating the spread. Bills QB Josh Allen is the hottest passer in the NFL right now, averaging over 300 yards per game and total 19 TD’s. The Jets do have a promising defensive backfield with the “Sauce”, but they can’t contain Allen, Bills win 42-29.

Miami Dolphins(-4.5) @ Chicago Bears Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa looks to be in full swing, and his WR tandem of Ty Hill and Jaylen Waddle are scary. The Bears looked great against the Cowboys but ran out of gas, @TheBrysh predicts that Da’ Bears put in a full 4 quarters and pull off the UPSET with a 26-22 victory.

Minnesota Vikings(-3.5) @ Washington Commanders The Commanders have been finding ways to win, and are looking for a big defensive push this week against the Vike’s. Minnesota has an extremely balanced roster, look for them to spread the ball around the field and control the Washington run game. Bet on the Vike’s to win 31-26.

Carolina Panthers @ Cincinnati Bengals(-9) The early 9 point spread spread on this game may be a bit rich for a Bengals team that often disappoints. Cincy QB Joe Burrow will improve upon his performance from last week, and Carolina has no answer to that kind of firepower. @TheBrysh sticks with a solid victory for the Bengals 30-21.

LA Chargers(-3) @ Atlanta Falcons The critics are pointing out plenty of circumstantial reasons to support the Chargers as favorites. LA is fresh off of a bye week, they have a better record than the Falcons, QB Justin Herbert is the second coming. Atlanta has won 4 of their last 6 games and have the home field, look for an UPSET, Falcons 33-31.

Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots(-5.5) Colts OC Marcus Brady gets the axe 5 days before Week 9? QB’s Matt Ryan and Sam Ehlinger will come back to team in shambles with no coordinator. Pat’s HC Bill Belichick is exactly what Indy DOESN’T want to see, a coach who’s a nightmare for struggling QB’s. Patriots cruise to a 26-17 win.

Green Bay Packers(-3) @ Detroit Lions Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers and his offensive crew are struggling, but so is the entire Detroit Lions team. Critics are claiming that the Lions are actually a strong roster, but the scoreboard says otherwise. Rodgers should be able to get his game on track against a weak Detroit defense for a 24-22 win.

Las Vegas Raiders(-1.5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars Since the preseason, @TheBrysh has repeated that the Las Vegas Raiders are OVERRATED! Coming off of a demoralizing shut-out last week, the Raiders will try to take advantage of a soft Jag’s defensive backfield. Look for the Jaguars to shock the Raiders with ball control to seize an UPSET 32-29.

LATE SUNDAY GAMES

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals(-1.5) The Cardinals have been in question this season with a wide assortment of injuries. However, the Card’s have held their own and kept losses close to the Eagles and Vike’s. The Seahawks won the previous meeting between these teams 19-9, now that WR DeAndre Hopkins is back the Cards will win it 24-22.

LA Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers(-3) Both of these teams are a disappointment, having each lost 3 of their last 4 games. Both of these teams also like to pass, it could be a shootout. Tampa arguably has a better pass defense, as well as a home field advantage. This is tough to call, especially with QB Tom Brady in the news, go with the Buc’s 24-19.

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs(-12.5) The Titans are surely the best team in the AFC South, but they’re a far sight from the dominance of the Chiefs. In recent years, the Titans have held an advantage over the Chiefs, but this year things will change. KC will find a way to contain Titans RB Derrick Henry and come up with a big win 36-22.

MONDAY NIGHT GAME

Baltimore Ravens(-2.5) @ New Orleans Saints Monday Night Football this week sees the Baltimore Ravens taking on the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome. The Ravens come into this game off of a big win against the Buc’s and an extra 3 days off. The Saints come off of a shutout over the Raiders, regardless of who the QB is @TheBrysh is predicting an UPSET victory. The home field advantage and momentum will carry the Saints to a 26-24 win.
