Mason Newton is just beginning his professional career with the Gladiators last season but quickly made an impression on the team, both on and off the field. Described by his teammates as the most trustworthy person you’ll ever meet, Newton is a teammate every player loves to have.
Newton’s impact was felt in week 19 when he blocked not one, but two field goals. One of which was returned for a touchdown which led to a 7 point victory. He was named special teams player of the week, giving the Gladiators a glimpse of what he can be as he continues to see more playing time in 2023 and beyond.
With the size and strength to play inside or outside, Newton is poised for a big season in 2023.
