FINALLY indoor football is back! It’s been months since all our favorite indoor football leagues finished their seasons. Now we finally will have the Champions Indoor Football League back this weekend with two match-ups to start the season off.
Omaha Beef vs Omaha Stockmen
First up we have the Omaha Beef led by new quarterback Tommy Armstrong, best known for starting 44 games for the hometown Nebraska Cornhuskers and amassing over 8,870 yards through the air, and over 90 total touchdowns. He also added 1,819 rushing yards. Now he will suit up in the black and orange and represent YOUR Omaha Beef in 2023. Watch his first action below:
Sioux City Bandits vs Rapid City Marshals
Next up kicking off just 30 minutes later this is sure to be a great game. The Rapid City Marshals travel into Sioux City to see if they can bring some law to the Bandits of Iowa. The Marshals defense was hand-picked by former IFL Defensive Back Antwan Smith, who just helped lead the Quad City Steamwheelers on a championship run, can they shut down the offense led by former Massachusetts Pirates QB Tasleem Wilson?
Topeka Tropics Vs Salina Liberty
This game might be the most electric match up of the weekend. With two of the best quarterback rooms in the league this game could turn into a shoot out quick. I’m very curious to see who gets the start for both teams heading into week one. Could we see these teams operate out of two quarterback systems?
