This Week’s Football Games

If you’re a fan of football like we are, then you will surely appreciate having all of this weekend’s games in one location. Whether it’s the Indoor Football League, National Arena League, or Liga De Futbol Americano we have you have you covered below:

Friday

Indoor Football League

This week’s games should prove interesting. To kick off this weekend we get to watch two former San Antonio Brahmas battle it out to show who is the best of the two when the Tulsa Oilers travel to Frisco to take on the Fighters. It’s Tj Edwards defending his home vs Jawon Pass in this intriguing match-up.

In a Friday night double header the Sioux Falls Storm will face the Quad City Steamwheelers. Two teams moving on from veteran quarterbacks to younger options moving forward. Who will we see start for each team? So much intrigue has sprung up from teams not posting rosters that it’s nearly impossible to bet on these games but nearly impossible to choose which one to focus on.

Saturday

American Indoor Football League

It’s the Corpus Christi Tritons vs the Mississippi Raiders this week for the newly reformed American Indoor Football League. The Tritons are a new for 2024 team with some of the best looking helmet/jersey combos. Their logo is amazing, and tops off a great look for the new team. As Primetime once said “If you feel good, you play well. If you play well, they pay well.”

The Mississippi Raiders were founded in 2019 before the AIF returned playing in other indoor leagues before making the jump in 2024.

Indoor Football League

The Massachusetts Pirates finally have an East Coast opponent and they get to face them for the first time since the Pirates left the NAL in week 2 of the IFL season. This should prove to be a great game. Massachusetts is at home after a tough win against the Green Bay Blizzard, Jacksonville kicks off their season on the road in Massachusetts looking to make their presence in the IFL known.

The Iowa Barnstormers will face the Green Bay Blizzard in week two as they kick off their season. The Blizzard are 0-1 after a collapse late that led to a Pirates comeback and win. These Barnstormers are flying right into a Blizzard, can they come out unscathed or will they begin the season 0-1?

National Arena League/American Indoor Football League Mash-Up

Often times indoor football fans will debate if a team in League X can beat a team in League Y but we never get the chance to see these games unfold. Perhaps the NAL, and AIF have opened the door to endless possibilities by scheduling an inter league match between the Cedar Rapids River Kings of the AIF, and the Colorado Spartans of the NAL. This should prove to be a very interesting game. Let us know in the comments who you think will win.

Liga De Futbol Americano

This should be the game of the week. The battle of the unbeaten teams 2-0 The Caudillos are the defending league champions while the 3-0 Mexicas have one of the most impressive offenses in the league led by QB Kenyatte Allen, and RB Tim Whitfield both of which top their respective yardage categories. The Caudillos will need to “hit ‘‘em with their best shot” to have a chance at a Win in this one.

The Dinos and Gallos are both looking to get some momentum going with only one win a piece. One of these teams will be picking up their second ‘W’ of the year. Let us know who you think it will be.

Sunday

Liga De Futbol Americano

The Fundidores and Reyes face off in what looks like it could be a test for the Reyes. The Fundidores look like the best team in the league so far as they’ve steam rolled opponents to this point thanks to impeccable play by quarterback Shelton Eppler.

National Arena League

This is as close as it gets to a championship rematch for the National Arena League in 2024. The Carolina Cobras are the only remaining NAL team from the 2023 season, while the Omaha Beef went undefeated and won the CIF Championship in 2023. Since then a lot has changed, but one thing has remained the same. Both these franchises know how to put on a show on their way to victory. Who will come out on top let us know in the comments!

Indoor Football League

The Vegas Knighthawks will kick off the season versus the Arizona Rattlers. The Rattlers are fresh off of a win against their cross state rivals the NAZ Wranglers, while Vegas looks to start their season off hot. One storyline to watch is the exit of Dalton Sneed from week one. Does he return in this game or does Garrett Kettle get the start for his second Arizona team in just two IFL seasons? Tucson in 2025 anyone?
