The North Louisiana Football Alliance (NLFA) has announced that it will begin accepting high school seniors who want to continue playing organized football at a high level. Oftentimes under-recruited high school seniors are forced to end their football career prematurely. This move by the North Louisiana Football Alliance will provide another option for players as they attempt to gather film and prove they belong in the college or professional ranks.

North Louisiana Football Alliance is About Developing Local Talent
The North Louisiana Football Alliance has already assisted players in raising their level of play, with a long list of players who have elevated to the college level or the professional ranks. Growing partnerships with arena football teams in the south to entrench themselves as a feeder League for many professional programs in several leagues.
North Louisiana Football Alliance President Holland D. Witherspoon said this about the move: “We believe every motivated athlete deserves an opportunity to play and develop their skills. Many talented players face a tough reality if college offers don’t materialize right away. Our expanded eligibility ensures that these young men have a pathway to continue their passion for the game while also building a future for themselves, potentially through our partnered technical programs”.
The North Louisiana Football Alliance recently was involved in a combine arranged by Coach Agee from the Tri-City RiverGators. This event included the Mississippi Wolfpack, and the Louisiana Rouxgaroux. Their relationship with the Rouxgaroux extends to the coaching ranks with Head Coach Michael Blair who once coached the NLFA’s Roughnecks for 3 seasons, and that’s just the beginning.
Most of the Rouxgaroux staff came from coaching in the NLFA. These ties have already resulted in the team signing a handful of players from the league. Further proving why the North Louisiana Football Alliance has continued to attract better and better talent each season.
With training camps set to start in January, players still have time to get involved. If you reside in the Ark-LA-TEX region and you are looking for an opportunity to continue playing football, look no further than the NLFA in 2026.
About the North Louisiana Football Alliance
The North Louisiana Football Alliance is a unique blend of Indoor football elements, along with an outdoor football environment, offering a transitional platform for players looking to play professional arena football, or gather film that also still translates to outdoor football. Playing 9-man football allows teams to incorporate offensive and defensive elements that you would not be able to use in traditional Indoor Football rules, while still providing a condensed roster structure by taking two players off the field.
The league targets players from 18 to 24 and is designed from top to bottom to develop and elevate as quickly as possible. They are also heavily involved in the community. This not only gives players a higher sense of purpose and professionalism, but it also helps players develop their brand on a local level, hopefully providing pathways to income long after age forces the player to hang up the cleats.
