By Cedric “The 303 Bus Driver” Green | Shady Sports Network
The tight end position has never been more fascinating for fantasy football managers.
For years, fantasy players operated under a simple strategy: draft Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, or George Kittle early and enjoy a weekly advantage over the rest of the field. Entering 2026, however, a new generation of tight ends has taken over the position and completely changed the conversation.
Trey McBride, Brock Bowers, Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, and several other ascending stars have transformed tight end from a one-player advantage into one of fantasy football’s deepest and most intriguing positions.
These rankings are built specifically for Full-PPR formats, emphasizing target volume, red-zone usage, quarterback play, offensive environment, and projected opportunity heading into the 2026 season. While touchdowns remain important, consistency and reception volume separate the true difference makers from the streaming options.
As always, these rankings are organized into tiers rather than strictly by rank. Understanding where positional drop-offs occur is far more valuable than obsessing over the difference between TE7 and TE8.
So buckle up and let’s get behind the wheel for The Bus Driver’s Way-Too-Early Tight End Rankings for 2026 Fantasy Football. ??
Tier S – The Bus Drivers

These are the only two tight ends entering 2026 capable of creating a meaningful weekly advantage over the rest of the position. Elite target volume, elite quarterback situations, and massive PPR ceilings separate them from the rest of the field.
—
Trey McBride (Arizona Cardinals)
Why He Is Ranked Here
McBride enters 2026 as my TE1 after producing one of the most dominant fantasy seasons we’ve seen from a tight end in recent memory. He isn’t simply a safety valve in Arizona’s offense. He’s the focal point.
His target volume rivals that of many WR1s, and his ability to consistently produce in all areas of the field provides both an elite floor and overall TE1 upside.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 126 receptions
- 1,239 receiving yards
- 11 receiving touchdowns
- 169 targets
- TE1 overall finish
- 315.9 PPR fantasy points
2026 Projection
- 102 receptions
- 1,031 receiving yards
- 7 touchdowns
- 245 PPR fantasy points
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE2
Ceiling: TE1 Overall
McBride’s combination of elite volume and red-zone involvement makes him the safest tight end investment in fantasy football.
The Bus Driver’s Take: If I’m drafting a tight end early in 2026, McBride is my first choice. Nobody enters the season with a higher floor.
—
Brock Bowers (Las Vegas Raiders)
Why He Is Ranked Here
After a strong rookie campaign, Bowers enters 2026 as the biggest threat to McBride’s TE1 crown.
What makes Bowers special is his ability to function as far more than a traditional tight end. He creates mismatches all over the formation and possesses the type of athletic profile capable of producing WR1-level fantasy weeks.
Update: It was recently announced that Brock Bowers will have to have his knee scoped which could cause him to miss time. This affects his overall point output, and may slightly cause him to slip, but ultimately when healthy, he is among the best tight ends in fantasy football.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 64 receptions
- 680 receiving yards
- 7 touchdowns
- 86 targets
- TE11 finish
- 176.2 PPR fantasy points
2026 Projection
- 101 receptions
- 1,062 receiving yards
- 7 touchdowns
- 249 PPR fantasy points
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE4
Ceiling: TE1 Overall
The projection leap reflects the expectation that the Raiders continue building their passing attack around him.
The Bus Driver’s Take: Bowers may possess the highest ceiling at the position. If he finishes as the overall TE1, nobody should be surprised.
—
Tier S Verdict
These are the Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson of the tight end position. If you roster McBride or Bowers, you’re entering every matchup with a legitimate positional advantage.
—
Tier 1 – Elite Difference Makers

These tight ends sit just below the Tier S duo of Trey McBride and Brock Bowers but still possess the talent, opportunity, and upside to finish among the top three fantasy tight ends in 2026.
George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers)
Why He Is Ranked Here
Even entering the later stages of his career, Kittle remains one of the most explosive players at the position. Few tight ends create chunk plays like he does, and he’s still one of the league’s most dangerous weapons after the catch.
The concern isn’t talent. It’s durability and volume. Kittle’s role has occasionally fluctuated due to injuries and the abundance of talent surrounding him in San Francisco.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 57 receptions
- 628 receiving yards
- 7 touchdowns
- TE13 finish
- 161.5 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 71 receptions
- 970 receiving yards
- 7 touchdowns
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE8
Ceiling: TE1 Overall
The Bus Driver’s Take: Kittle’s weekly ceiling remains among the highest at the position. If he stays healthy, he’ll once again challenge the elite tier.
—
Tyler Warren (Indianapolis Colts)
Why He Is Ranked Here
No player at the position enters 2026 with more momentum.
Warren was one of the biggest surprises of 2025 and quickly established himself as a focal point within Indianapolis’ offense. His target share, reliability, and red-zone involvement give him the profile fantasy managers should be chasing.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 76 receptions
- 817 receiving yards
- 4 touchdowns
- TE4 finish
- 188.5 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 60 receptions
- 615 receiving yards
- 5 touchdowns
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE8
Ceiling: TE2 Overall
The Bus Driver’s Take: Warren is my favorite breakout candidate at the position and one of my favorite targets in fantasy football.
—
Sam LaPorta (Detroit Lions)
Why He Is Ranked Here
LaPorta’s disappointing 2025 season is exactly why he’s become one of fantasy football’s best values.
The talent hasn’t disappeared. The offensive environment remains one of the best in football. If his target volume recovers even slightly, he could easily outperform his current ADP.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 40 receptions
- 489 receiving yards
- 3 touchdowns
- TE27 finish
- 106.9 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 71 receptions
- 774 receiving yards
- 6 touchdowns
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE10
Ceiling: TE2 Overall
The Bus Driver’s Take: Drafting LaPorta this year feels a lot like buying a blue-chip stock after a temporary dip.
—
T.J. Hockenson (Minnesota Vikings)
Why He Is Ranked Here
Hockenson remains one of the safest bets for consistent weekly volume.
While he may not possess the explosive upside of some younger names, his ability to command targets keeps him firmly inside the TE1 conversation.
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 51 receptions
- 438 receiving yards
- 3 touchdowns
- TE26 finish
- 112.8 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 74 receptions
- 740 receiving yards
- 5 touchdowns
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE8
Ceiling: TE3 Overall
The Bus Driver’s Take: Hockenson may not be flashy, but consistency still has substantial fantasy value.
Tier 1 Verdict
Kittle offers elite veteran production, Warren is the breakout star, and LaPorta and Hockenson present tremendous bounce-back potential. Any of these players could realistically finish inside the top three.
—
Tier 2 – Weekly TE1s

This is where the deepest value pocket at tight end begins. Every player in this tier is capable of weekly TE1 production and could finish significantly above current ADP.
Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs)
2025 Production
- 76 receptions
- 851 yards
- 5 touchdowns
- TE3 finish
- 193.2 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 74 receptions
- 728 yards
- 5 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: Kelce isn’t the automatic TE1 anymore, but he’s still dangerous. The question is whether the ceiling justifies the draft cost.
—
Mark Andrews (Baltimore Ravens)
2025 Production
- 48 receptions
- 422 yards
- 5 touchdowns
- TE16 finish
- 131.0 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 55 receptions
- 681 yards
- 7 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: Touchdown upside keeps Andrews relevant, but weekly volatility remains frustrating.
—
Colston Loveland (Chicago Bears)
2025 Production
- 58 receptions
- 713 yards
- 6 touchdowns
- TE12 finish
- 165.1 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 62 receptions
- 638 yards
- 4 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: Loveland feels like the next young star poised to make a significant leap.
—
Oronde Gadsden (Los Angeles Chargers)
2025 Production
- 49 receptions
- 664 yards
- 3 touchdowns
- TE15 finish
- 131.4 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 65 receptions
- 760 yards
- 5 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: One of my favorite value picks at the position. A full offseason with Justin Herbert could unlock a breakout season.
—
Kyle Pitts (Atlanta Falcons)
2025 Production
- 88 receptions
- 928 yards
- 5 touchdowns
- TE2 finish
- 210.8 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 50 receptions
- 628 yards
- 4 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: The most polarizing player in fantasy football. I’m betting on talent.
—
Tucker Kraft (Green Bay Packers)
2025 Production
- 32 receptions
- 489 yards
- 6 touchdowns
- TE24 finish
- 117.2 PPR points
2026 Projection
- 62 receptions
- 645 yards
- 5 touchdowns
Outlook
The Bus Driver’s Take: Quietly one of the best value picks at the position.
Tier 2 Verdict
This is where fantasy managers can find league-winning value. Pitts, Loveland, Kraft, and Njoku all have realistic paths to finishing multiple tiers above cost. If you miss out on the top six, this tier offers plenty of attractive alternatives. ??
Tier 3 – Reliable Starters
These tight ends may not possess elite positional ceilings, but they offer dependable weekly production and strong value based on their current draft cost.
—
Evan Engram (Denver Broncos)
Receiving Production (2025)
- 50 receptions
- 461 receiving yards
- 1 touchdown
- TE29 Finish
2026 Projection
- 72 receptions
- 691 receiving yards
- 5 touchdowns
Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE10
Ceiling: TE5
The Bus Driver’s Take: One of my favorite bounce-back candidates if Denver funnels targets through the middle of the field.
—
Dalton Kincaid (Buffalo Bills)
Receiving Production (2025)
- 39 receptions
- 571 receiving yards
- 5 touchdowns
- TE20 Finish
2026 Projection
- 59 receptions
- 610 receiving yards
- 4 touchdowns
Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE12
Ceiling: TE6
The Bus Driver’s Take: Buffalo’s offense is too explosive for Kincaid to remain quiet forever.
—
Harold Fannin Jr. (Cleveland Browns)
Receiving Production (2025)
- 72 receptions
- 731 receiving yards
- 6 touchdowns
- TE6 Finish
2026 Projection
- 65 receptions
- 700 receiving yards
- 6 touchdowns
Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE15
Ceiling: TE4
The Bus Driver’s Take: One of the biggest breakout candidates on the board.

—
Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles)

- 60 receptions
- 591 receiving yards
- 11 touchdowns
- TE7 Finish
2026 Projection
- 61 receptions
- 648 receiving yards
- 4 touchdowns
Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE11
Ceiling: TE8
The Bus Driver’s Take: Expect touchdown regression, but not a major fantasy collapse.
—
David Njoku (Los Angeles Chargers)
Receiving Production
2025 Production
- 33 receptions
- 293 receiving yards
- 4 touchdowns
- TE34 Finish
- 86.3 PPR Points
2026 Projection
- 45 receptions
- 490 receiving yards
- 4 touchdowns
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE20
Ceiling: TE8
The Bus Driver’s Take: Njoku still has talent, but Oronde Gadsden’s emergence lowers the certainty of his fantasy outlook.
—
Jonnu Smith (Pittsburgh Steelers)
2026 Projection
- 55 receptions
- 555 receiving yards
- 3 touchdowns
Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE15
Ceiling: TE9
The Bus Driver’s Take: Not flashy, but he’s useful depth.
—
Hunter Henry (New England Patriots)
Receiving Production (2025)
- 77 receptions
- 889 receiving yards

Fantasy Outlook
Floor: TE14
