Champions Indoor Football League

This weekend the CIF has four games kicking off. We have some premier match-ups this weekend to round out the CIF action. First up is:

The Topeka Tropics vs the Salina Liberty. Coach Heron O’Neal will lead his troops to battle against the Topeka Tropics led by a two-quarterback system featuring Dylan Van Boxel, and Lorenz Stefan two very capable players at the position. Meanwhile, Salina has Jerod Evans, and Ja’Vonte Johnson. So far Salina is 2-0 through two games, but can they keep their winning streak alive in week 3?

For the second game of the weekend, we have the Southwest Kansas Storm taking on the Arlington Longhorns a non-league game. This represents the first chance to see new starting quarterback Delvin Isadore formerly of the FCF in 2022. Could he change the fortunes for the Storm who sit 0-2 so far?

Next up we have the top teams in the league currently facing each other. The Mustangs and their high-flying offense take on the Sioux City Bandits who have stolen two wins through the first two weeks. In this showdown of undefeated teams who will come out on top and lay claim to the top spot of the CIF through three weeks? Will it be Cedric Walker’s Mustangs or the Bandits led by Erv Strohbeen?

Last but not least we have another Monday Night Football game. Billings playing on Monday night two weeks in a row will again defend their house trying to garner a bit more of a home-field advantage than they found with their paltry attendance last week. Can the Outlaw fans pack the building and show they’re one of the best fans bases in the league, or will Rapid City pick up their first win of the season? Billings has all the momentum this week, with Rapid City reeling following a former player throwing the team under the bus. Will this affect their on-field play?
