Week 8 of the 2023 season is behind us, and it’s time to calculate the USFL Predictions for Week 9. @TheBrysh Power Rankings (PR’s) are calculated using a proprietary algorithm, @TheBrysh Power Rankings are also used to calculate weekly predictions. Week 8 predictions for @TheBrysh was a PERFECT 4/4, for a season total of 17/32 or 53% on straight up wins. As the weeks progress, the numbers get dialled in and the predictions become even more accurate. Point spreads are courtesy of Bookmaker.eu and are accurate at the time of writing.

SATURDAY GAMES
Michigan Panthers(-2) @ Pittsburgh Maulers Michigan blew their match last week with the Breakers when they hit the half-time down 21-10, although they did attempt a comeback. The Panthers have been the picture of inconsistency all season, the Maulers aren’t much better so it should be a close game. Pittsburgh nearly upset Houston last week if it weren’t for a missed FG by kicker Chris Blewitt, so @TheBrysh predicts the Maulers will successfully UPSET Michigan 22-20.
New Orleans Breakers(-0.5) @ Memphis Showboats Last week New Orleans broke their 3 game losing streak, and QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson turned in a 300+ yard passing game. The Showboats are on a big winning streak of 5 right now, are the Breakers the team to end the festivities in Memphis? @TheBrysh predicts this to be the Game of the Week, with a back and forth battle ending in an UPSET 21-17 win for the Showboats.
SUNDAY GAMES
Birmingham Stallions(-3.5) @ Houston Gamblers @TheBrysh has had the Stallions at the #1 position of the Expert Power Rankings since Week 1. Birmingham QB Alex McGough is the impetus for their offensive power, accounting for 20 TD’s this season, and doesn’t show signs of slowing down with playoffs approaching. Houston will definitely give Birmingham a run for their money, but I will stick with the #1 Power Ranked Stallions in a close game, 23-22.
Philadelphia Stars(-2.5) @ New Jersey Generals Philadelphia is probably the best team in the North Division right now, but that isn’t saying much with their record of 4-4. Although the Generals are sitting at 2-6, they still have a potential playoff berth resting in their hands. These teams will likely battle it out tooth and nail, and @TheBrysh predicts a 22-21 victory for the Stars.
