Atlantic City got a loaded episode of Raw on June 29, with SummerSlam suddenly looking bigger, meaner, and more personal. Oba Femi’s King of the Ring celebration turned into a war declaration when Brock Lesnar arrived with Paul Heyman, dropped Oba with an F-5, and accepted a SummerSlam fight with one major twist: Hell in a Cell.
Backstage, Heyman sold the match like the biggest ticket in SummerSlam history while Adam Pearce questioned whether Oba knew what he was signing up for. Oba made it clear: he wants Lesnar, he wants the fight, and he wants to be the one who ends it.
Rey Mysterio Survives Ethan Page on Monday Night Raw
Rey Mysterio and Ethan Page delivered a sharp back-and-forth match built around Page’s power and Rey’s timing. Page tried to slow Rey down and even went after the mask, but Rey kept finding openings. After escaping trouble on the top rope, Rey hit a hurricanrana, followed with the 619, and finished Page with a frog splash.
The Judgment Day continued its side war with Danhausen, trashing his lab and stealing his custom Knicks gift. The move gave the group a target to lure Danhausen in.
Joe Hendry brought the celebration energy, joining Tag Team Champions The Street Profits for a feel-good moment before Austin Theory interrupted. Theory announced a tag title rematch for next week, then shifted his focus to Hendry, setting up their match later in the night.
Joe Hendry Beats Austin Theory on Monday Night Raw
Theory controlled early, but Hendry battled back with a neckbreaker, running DDT, and a fallaway slam. Theory survived The Hit Single and kept pressing with strikes and near falls, but Hendry caught him late and put him away with a Side Effect.
Raquel Rodriguez demanded a title opportunity, and Pearce gave her a path through Maxxine Dupri. Liv Morgan also appeared, with Raquel reassuring her that Judgment Day still had her back.
Queen of the Ring Iyo Sky addressed the crowd as a champion-level threat to Liv Morgan, but Liv blamed her recent loss on Danhausen’s curse and promised to remain the greatest women’s champion of all time. The Judgment Day numbers eventually overwhelmed Iyo, leaving her laid out after Liv’s attack.
Jimmy Uso Steals One from LA Knight on Monday Night Raw
With Jey Uso on commentary, LA Knight and Jimmy Uso worked a hard-hitting match that kept swinging between momentum runs. Knight looked close after a superplex and diving elbow, but his shot at Jey gave Jimmy the opening for a roll-up win. The post-match scene turned chaotic, with Jey attacking Knight before Solo Sikoa appeared and dropped Jimmy with a Samoan Spike.
Backstage, Jacob Fatu told The Usos he only takes orders from the OTC and planned to head to SmackDown to handle Solo. Jey also said he was going to SmackDown, this time to challenge Sami Zayn for the Undisputed Title and bring more gold to The Bloodline.
Lyra Valkyria addressed the fallout from London, saying she did not regret what happened with Bayley. She admitted she never wanted to hurt Bayley, but also said closing the gap between them felt good.
Maxxine Dupri crossed paths with Chad Gable and apologized for how she spoke to him, even while standing by what she said. Gable told her to focus on her match and wished her luck.
Raquel Earns an Intercontinental Title Shot on Monday Night Raw
Maxxine had moments of fight, dodging Raquel’s power early and landing strikes of her own. But Raquel’s strength took over. After surviving Maxxine’s comeback, Raquel hit the Tejana Bomb to win and earn a shot at Sol Ruca’s Intercontinental Title.
Danhausen returned to find his lab wrecked and the Knicks jersey gone. Liv made it clear that Judgment Day was sending a message: make things right, or they would keep making his life miserable.
Chad Gable Tops JD McDonagh on Monday Night Raw
Chad Gable and JD McDonagh turned in one of the night’s most physical matches, with Gable’s suplexes and ankle locks meeting JD’s speed and counters. Dominik Mysterio repeatedly got involved, but Danhausen distracted him with a briefcase full of money. That opening let Gable trap JD in the ankle lock for the submission win. The briefcase later exploded in Judgment Day’s faces, though Raquel ended the joke by booting Danhausen and returning the jersey to Dominik.
Theory later confronted Maxxine about her conversation with Gable, suggesting that if she wanted to go back down that road, their relationship might not be working.
The night closed with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins revisiting one of WWE’s deepest rivalries. Rollins framed their history as unfinished business, reminding Roman that despite his records and championships, he has never truly escaped Seth. Roman accepted the challenge, saying his family needed to witness him finally beat Rollins. With that, Raw ended with another major SummerSlam match in place: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins.
